Following a year of excellent co-operation with the @oscepa, great to see the 2022 Resolution on Combating Violence against Women Journalists & Politicians, urging states to #endVaW. Discrimination & violence intensify in conflict situations, see: https://www.oscepa.org/en/documents/annual-sessions/2022-birmingham/declaration-28 #SOFJO
I am concerned by the numerous death threats @novarsonline journalist @JelenaObucina in #Serbia has been receiving lately. This should be swiftly investigated and stopped. Protection of journalists is of paramount importance and one of the pre-conditions for #mediafreedom. #SOFJO
All too often, women journalists are silenced by online hate & abuse, online rape threats, digital security hazards or targeted disinformation.

The 2nd #GenderJustice session today discusses how to ensure better preventive & protective mechanisms for female media workers. #SOFJO
