German Delegation To Attend SPIEF-2022
Roscongress Foundation Chairman of the Board and CEO Alexander Stuglev and Knorr-Bremse Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Professor Klaus Mangold met to discuss the participation of German representatives in the Roscongress Foundation’s key business events, including the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
💬 “The Russia–Germany roundtable is traditionally one of the most productive, exciting, and eventful dialogues on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The mutual interest that the business communities of both countries have is confirmed by the high-ranking participation in join events. This year, in the run-up to the SPIEF, a business roundtable in Munich is planned with the participation of business representatives from both countries. The meeting is scheduled for 12 May,” Stuglev said.

⚡️Egypt to Become a Guest Country at the Jubilee SPIEF in 2022
Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Russia Ihab Talaat Nasr in Moscow. The parties discussed Egypt’s participation in the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum next year as a Guest Country, plans for preparation for the Russia–Africa Summit, as well as resumption of air traffic and related epidemiological safety measures.

Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the SPIEF participants, organizers, and guests:
"We must now endeavor to build equal, constructive partnerships between members of the global community and expand business ties on a number of levels to effectively tackle today’s critical global challenges and achieve sustainable development."
The President emphasized Russia's interest in close cooperation with partners in different regions: "We are ready to share our experience in areas such as healthcare and digitalization, and to work with partners to build better telecommunications, energy, and transport infrastructure. We also recognize the importance of addressing key issues facing the environment and climate," – Vladimir Putin said.
The President expressed confidence that the agreements reached at the Forum would contribute to development of international relations and new economic projects for the benefit of all countries.

Ryazan: "Where Ideas Are Turned Into Results"
Ryazan will participate in SPIEF with a slogan "Where Ideas Are Turned Into Results". The region will present its advanced innovation and infrastructure projects; current amount of investments in them is about ☧20 billion ($27,100,000).
Several projects address drug safety in Russia. Drugs produced in the Ryazan region can be used both in the treatment of illnesses and in the prevention of viral diseases.
At SPIEF-2021, "RC-Investments" (the subsidiary of the Roscongress Foundation) and the Ryazan Region Development Corporation plan to sign a cooperation agreement, which will provide additional opportunities to promote economic and investment potential of the region.

Major motor shows to be held as part of SPIEF 2021
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will host a number of major international and Russian motor shows and competitions. The official sporting programme of SPIEF 2021 will include Peace Rally, Ladoga Trophy Raid 2021, Leningrad Rally and Petersburg classic car rally as part of the Russian Automobile Federation (RAF) Cup.
Ten Soviet retro cars taking part in the Peace Rally will cover the route San Marino — Monaco — St. Petersburg from 24 May to 2 June and make the finish at the Forum venue. This event primarily aimed at strengthening business and cultural ties between Russia and Europe has been held since 2017, and in 2019 the first stage of the race ended at SPIEF.
