To empower women's #freespeech & enjoyment of other human rights, we need to increase efforts to close the gender #DigitalDivide & instead leverage digital technologies for gender equality across the OSCE, I said at our event co-organized with @osce_odihr. #InternationalWomensDay

I regret that #Türkiye Parliament yesterday passed the draft bill on disinformation, which could have very negative repercussions on #mediafreedom. Laws affecting #freespeech must always strongly ensure proper safeguards, in line with #OSCE commitments.

It is deeply troubling that #Russia continues to impose restrictive laws that limit #freespeech & media freedom. I call on the authorities to stop curtailing public discussions & exerting a dangerous chilling effect on journalists' work.
