The agreement between Russia and Belarus on the mutual recognition of visas for foreigners will enter into force on January 11, 2025. Now foreigners who have a visa from one of the countries and the corresponding identity document can freely move around the territory of both countries during the validity period of the visa. If both countries are visa-free for a foreigner, only an identity document is sufficient. A temporary residence permit or a residence permit from one country also grants the right to enter another without a visa. The exception is persons who are prohibited from entering one of the countries. The Agreement defines six land border crossing points along the used routes of international rail and air communications, the use of other routes is prohibited: 🔵Dolostsy (Opochka — Novopolotsk) 🔵Ezerishche — Nevel (Kiev — Saint Petersburg) 🔵Liozno — Kruglovka (Vitebsk — Smolensk) 🔵Redcki — Krasnaya Gorka (Minsk — Moscow) 🔵Zvenchatka — Dubovichka (Bobruisk — Moscow) 🔵Selishche — Novozybkov (Gomel — Bryansk) Citizens of Ukraine can enter Russia through the Moscow Sheremetyevo airport checkpoint and the Ludonka automobile checkpoint in the Pskov region, in accordance with the decision of the Government of the Russian Federation. Both countries retain the right to refuse entry or shorten the period of stay of foreigners. 🇷🇺🇧🇾The agreement is intended to create a single migration space of the Union State.
