RT @DecaniMonastery: Source - KFOR Facebook page: #Italian soldiers from Regional Command West of the #NATO-led #KFOR mission donated lighting systems to the #Monastery of Deçan/Dečane.

Religious and military authorities attended the delivery ceremony, including, the Commander of Regional Command West, Colonel Francesco Ferrara, and Abbot Father Sava Janjić.

This donation aimed at lighting of the interior of the ancient 14th-century monastery, which was included in #UNESCO's World Heritage Site list in 2004.

#KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to provide a safe and secure environment for all communities living in #Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially.
