But this is possible only if the world acts in unity and fully recognizes the UN Charter, its purposes and principles. This is the path to peace proposed by Ukraine, supported by a growing number of states and leaders.
The first Peace Summit was attended by 101 states and international organizations from all parts of the world – Africa, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, the Pacific and Australia, and North America. It is very important for a just peace that all participants of the Summit supported one of the fundamental principles of coexistence of peoples – the principle of territorial integrity of states. By maintaining security for one in the world, the world protects everyone from aggression.
I thank all the leaders and states, all the teams, and advisors who organised the first Peace Summit and ensured such a significant manifestation of global unity. We have already begun to proceed toward the second Peace Summit – the coming weeks and months will be filled with concrete preparatory work. I thank everyone who is helping.
