RT @Fincantieri: An exciting day unfolded today in Castellammare di Stabia with the launching ceremony for the LSS “Atlante”, the second logistic support unit forming part of the Navy’s fleet renewal plan alongside Vulcano, delivered in 2021.
"The Atlante represents a flagship of these 'well-proven' platforms, sought after internationally, and primarily signifies the history of Fincantieri and the strength of its workforce. The Castellammare shipyard, with its military and civil expertise, stands and will remain at the heart of our industrial plan, with the goal of its further implementation. The Navy's defense spending means protecting borders, commerce, sea beds, deterrence, as well as offensive and defensive capabilities" stated our CEO Pierroberto #Folgiero, who attended the ceremony alongside Chairman Claudio #Graziano, our General Manager Naval Vessels Division Dario #Deste, and the Navy’s Chief of Staff, Rear Admiral Enrico #Credendino, as well as the Director of OCCAR, Joackim #Sucker, and the Director of the Naval Armaments Directorate - NAVARM, Admiral Chief Inspector Giuseppe #Abbamonte.

They play a crucial role in contributing to international security, a topic of great relevance when considering the geopolitical landscape" Chairman Graziano further commented.
