It reached its zenith as the 🇬🇧 @COMUKCSG, under #STRIKFORNATO's command, maneuvered into the harshest environments on Earth so as to be positioned to support @NATO’s Warden of the North, Norway 🇳🇴. Spanning both the North and the Norwegian seas, this episode set the stage for one of the main events in #SteadfastDefender24.
🧊 All the action transitions to Norway now, and #NordicResponse. 2️⃣0️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ troops from the four corners of the Alliance will demonstrate what it means to be ready to #DefendTonight. While #STRIKFORNATO keeps the watch over every wave and cloud, #NATO forces will sharpen their Arctic warfare skills. 🏂
🗺️ These maneuvers serve as a testament to the spirit of solidarity and readiness that defines #NATO's commitment to the freedom of its 1️⃣ billion citizens in an increasingly uncertain global landscape.

#STRIKFORNATO 🔱 just got 2⃣ upgrades!

In a step towards fortifying our shared commitment to security, our headquarters formally welcomed #Lithuania 🇱🇹 & #Romania 🇷🇴 as #STRIKFORNATO’s 14th and 15th member states. Today’s joining was made even more special, as it aligns with the 20th anniversary of both nations' accession to the @NATO Alliance. 🛡️

Vice Admiral Thomas Ishee, #STRIKFORNATO's Commander ⚓️, extended a warm welcome to Ms. Lina Zigmantaitė, Lithuanian Chargé d’affaires to 🇵🇹, Captain Giedrius Premeneckas, Commander of the Lithuanian Navy, Mr. Mircea Iliescu, Romanian Chargé d’affaires to Portugal and Vice Admiral Mihai Panait, Chief of the Romanian Naval Forces. 🤝

🇱🇹 & 🇷🇴 are key allies in the Baltic and the Black Sea regions 🌊 and the expertise our newest members bring to the table bolsters our ability to safeguard #NATO's Eastern flank. 🗺️

That’s a wrap! #SteadfastJupiter23, one of the largest exercises within @NATO, has concluded.

This iteration was the largest and most complex in #NATO’s history. It constituted an excellent opportunity for the Alliance to test its responsiveness, command and control, and defense posture in a highly challenging multi-threat environment, based on a simulated Article 5 scenario.

Participating this year were:
+7⃣0⃣0⃣0⃣ participants
1⃣7⃣ Allied nations
2⃣4⃣ multinational headquarters

Across 2⃣ continents! #STRIKFORNATO’s execution in the exercise demonstrated its capability and readiness to #DefendTonight if necessary, every inch of #NATO territory. #WeAreNATO #StrongerTogether

@STRIKFORNATO is at sea! 🌊 #STRIKFORNATO’s staff embarked the #USSMOUNTWHITNEY ⚓️ in order to revalidate the ship as @NATO's Afloat Command Platform (ACP). 🚢

The ACP allows the Alliance to command Allied Maritime Striking Forces 🚀 from almost anywhere in SACEUR’s Area of Responsibility and ensure that we are ready to #DefendTonight! 🛡️ #StrongerTogether #WeAreNATO
