The focus was on Black Sea security & Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Romania-US Strategic Partnership is a key pillar for @NATO’s defence on the Eastern Flank.

🔹 Russia’s ongoing brutal war against Ukraine, with clear & dangerous consequences very close to NATO territory, at the 🇷🇴-🇺🇦 border on the Danube - drones, drones, drones!
🔹 Appalling scenes in #Israel with civilians slaughtered or abducted by terrorists.
🔹 Tensions in the Western Balkans, prompting Romania to bolster its contribution for @NATO_KFOR presence by 134 troops.
🔹 Finland & Estonia reported possible sabotage to Balticconnector gas pipeline & other communications cables.

On a positive note, we welcome for the first time president Zelenskyy at the NATO HQ, as he is coming straight from #Romania. I am very proud of his successful visit in #Bucharest, especially knowing how much Romania is supporting Ukraine at NATO.
