Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) is one of the six geographic combatant commands of the United States Armed Forces. It is responsible for the Indo-Pacific region, which includes the Indian Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, and the Asia-Pacific region. USINDOPACOM is the largest and oldest of the six geographic combatant commands.
USINDOPACOM's mission is to "deter aggression, protect interests, and advance prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region." The command has a wide range of responsibilities, including:
* Conducting military operations to defend the United States and its allies and partners in the region.
* Providing humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
* Promoting security cooperation and building partnerships with other countries in the region.
