🇦🇲 Today is Armenian Independence Day 🇦🇲

On May 28, 1918, exactly 105 years ago, the Republic of Armenia declared its independence following victories over Turkish forces at the battles of Sardarapat and Bash-Aparan.

This is a remarkable event in our nation’s history. Despite the enduring genocide, massacres, plunder, and constant threat of annihilation, the Armenian nation achieved a stunning victory over the Turkish army, even in the absence of crucial socio-economic and military-political foundations. Our collective awareness and consequent release from the enduring state of eternal victimhood led to our triumphant victory. We realised that the blood of the great Haykids, Artaxiads, Bagratids, and Rubenids flows through our veins. We united the nation!

It is crucial that we unite once again today if we are to succeed in the battle for the Armenian nation and Armenia. History will not forgive us if we fail to do so!

❗️A video of employees of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute demolishing artefacts and photographs related to the Armenian genocide spread across the network today and outraged everyone. According to the institution itself, the documents depicted in the video are working copies of documents that were used at exhibitions, conferences, and lectures organized by the institution over the years.

Instead of being destroyed, these valuable documents and photographs could have been preserved and given to schools or Armenian organizations, where they could have served as educational resources.

We strongly condemn this act. Everyone involved in this atrocity ought to apologise to the Armenian people.

🇦🇲🇺🇦 Ukrainian-Armenian International School scheduled to open in September 2023, education authorities sign memorandum.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan and Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet, as well as the Head of the St. Gregory the Illuminator Charitable Organization Suren Sardanyan signed a Memorandum of Intent to develop a Ukrainian-Armenian International School.

Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine to the Republic of Armenia Oleksandr Senchenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Ukraine Vladimir Karapetyan were also present at the meeting.

The main issues discussed were the expansion of a safe and engaging educational space for Ukrainian students to provide real, lively opportunities for development and unleashing the invaluable potential of every child for the sake of a peaceful future for both Ukraine and the world.

“Opening such a school is another step in uniting the forces of educators in the struggle for peace, an example of international educational and cultural cooperation between two countries, which reminds us that the main value of the world is human life,” said Serhii Shkarlet.

The Ukrainian-Armenian International School was established to strengthen cooperation in education, exchange professional experience, and deepen the study of cultural heritage and scientific achievements of Ukraine and Armenia. The school building was erected by the Armenian community of Odesa. The school is scheduled to open in September 2023. In addition, a scientific and creative center for children will be established on the basis of the Ukrainian-Armenian International School, which will closely cooperate with the world-famous TUMO Center for Creative Technologies, Armenia.

On September 13, as of 00:05, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces launched another large-scale aggression towards the Republic of Armenia using heavy artillery and anti-aircraft missile systems. Azerbaijan's military is attacking civilians and infrastructure in the cities of Goris, Kapan, Yeraskh, Sotk, and Vardenis.
In the current situation, the National Democratic Pole appeals to the government and authorities of the Republic of Armenia, demanding that they request immediate military and security assistance from the US government and, at the same time, raise the issue of ongoing aggression with the UN Security Council, withdraw the Republic of Armenia from the CSTO, and ensure the safety and territorial integrity of the borders and population of the Republic of Armenia.

❗️One Artsakh soldier killed, eight wounded in Azerbaijani drone attack.

▪️One Artsakh solider was killed and eight others were injured in a fresh Azerbaijani drone attack in the north-western section of the line of contact on Wednesday, the Defense Ministry of Artsakh said.

In a number of sections of the northern and northwestern border zone of the Republic of Artsakh, on August 1, starting at 09:00, the Azerbaijani units resorted to provocation, making attempts to cross the contact line, which were stopped by the forces of the Defense Army of Artsakh, reports the Defense Army of Artsakh informs that the Armenian side has suffered no casualties.

"The situation remains tense. Detailed information about the incident has been provided to the command of the Russian peacekeeping troops," the message says.

The Azerbaijani athlete, who lost to the Armenian wrestler Hayk Papikyan at the Youth European Championships, left the award ceremony when the Armenian anthem was played. 

The Armenian Wrestling Federation filed a protest, after which Sabir Jafarov was disqualified.

❗️Handover of Aghavno and Berdzor to the Turks

"Residents of Berdzor and Aghavno will be provided with apartments as soon as the construction of the new road, which connects Armenia with Artsakh, is completed. The territory of Berdzor and Aghavno will come under the control of Azerbaijan", Pashinyan said. 

It should be noted that the new road is longer than the Lachin corridor, which connects the other part of Armenia with Artsakh, and is used now for movement of citizens in both directions.
