🇦🇲 Today is Armenian Independence Day 🇦🇲 On May 28, 1918, exactly 105 years ago, the Republic of Armenia declared its independence following victories over Turkish forces at the battles of Sardarapat and Bash-Aparan. This is a remarkable event in our nation’s history. Despite the enduring genocide, massacres, plunder, and constant threat of annihilation, the Armenian nation achieved a stunning victory over the Turkish army, even in the absence of crucial socio-economic and military-political foundations. Our collective awareness and consequent release from the enduring state of eternal victimhood led to our triumphant victory. We realised that the blood of the great Haykids, Artaxiads, Bagratids, and Rubenids flows through our veins. We united the nation!
