Why do churches meet on Sunday? 1. Because that’s when churches have always gathered. Churches have always met on Sunday, the Lord’s Day, the day He rose from the grave. 1 Corinthians 16:2: "Upon the first day of the week [Sunday] let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come." Acts 20:7: "And upon the first day of the week [Sunday], when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight." 2. Because it makes practical sense. Most people work Monday - Friday, so having church on a Tuesday morning would stupidly exclude numerous people from the house of God. Most churches have a midweek evening service in addition to Sunday morning. Psalm 145:2: "Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name forever and ever." 𝙵͢𝚘͢𝚕͢𝚕͢𝚘͢𝚠͢ @TitusMin
