The name of Jesus in Greek is Iesous with "s", you can't be saved praying to Joshua the sinner. You need to pray to the Sinless One, Jesus CHRIST for salvation

Why do churches meet on Sunday?

1. Because that’s when churches have always gathered.

Churches have always met on Sunday, the Lord’s Day, the day He rose from the grave.

1 Corinthians 16:2: "Upon the first day of the week [Sunday] let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come."

Acts 20:7: "And upon the first day of the week [Sunday], when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight."

2. Because it makes practical sense.

Most people work Monday - Friday, so having church on a Tuesday morning would stupidly exclude numerous people from the house of God. Most churches have a midweek evening service in addition to Sunday morning.

Psalm 145:2: "Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name forever and ever."
