Worldwide Tea is the most consumed beverage after water 🌍

But #climatechange triggered by #globalwarming is posing a major threat to the resilience of agricultural systems including tea cultivation.

#IPCC's #ClimateChange 2023 Synthesis Report 👉 https://t.co/zAMzd12lR7 shows that human activities, principally through emissions of greenhouse gases, have unequivocally caused #globalwarming, with global surface temperature reaching 1.1°C above 1850–1900 in 2011–2020.

It was the warmest April on record – the eleventh month in a row of record global temperatures – and northern hemisphere snow cover was the lowest on record for the month. Sea surface temperatures have been record high for the past 13 months.
