یکی از قدیمی ترین عکس ها از سنگ نگاره دیهیم ستانی اردشیر دوم(اردشیر نکوکار) در طاق بستان.
این عکس در دوره قاجار گرفته شده و هم‌اکنون در موزه ملی هندوستان نگهداری میشود.

بشقابی زرین بسیار زیبا از دوره ساسانی که بانویی نی نواز را سوار بر موجودی افسانه که شباهت زیادی با ققنوس یا سیمرغ دارد نشان میدهد.
این بشقاب هم‌اکنون در موزه هرمیتاژ روسیه نگهداری میشود

A beautiful golden plate from the Sassanid period showing a lady playing the flute while riding on a mythical creature that resembles the Phoenix or Simurgh.

This plate is now kept in Hermitage museum in Russia.

سنگ نگاره دیهیم ستانی اردشیر پاپکان، نخستین شاهنشاه ساسانی که با سرنگونی اردوان چهارم آخرین شاهنشاه اشکانی، به شاهی رسید.
اردشیر در این سنگ نگاره درحال ستاندن فرّ ایزدی از اهورامزدا است.
بر روی سینهٔ اسب اردشیر، سنگ‌نوشته‌ای به سه زبان پارسی میانه، زبان پارتی، و زبان یونانی میانه وجود دارد که ترجمهٔ آن، چنین است: «این است پیکر مزداپرست، خداوندگار اردشیر، شاهان‌شاهِ «ایران»، که چهر (=نژاد) از ایزدان دارد، پورِ (=پسر) خداوندگار پاپک، شاه.»
پیکره بیجان اردوان چهارم اشکانی در سمت چپ تصویر، آخرین شاهنشاه اشکانی بر زیر اسب اردشیر بابکان و پیکره شکست خورده اهریمن بر زیر سم اسب اهورامزدا در سمت راست تصویر.

The relief of coronation of Ardashir I, the first Sassanid King of Kings who overthrew Artabanus IV, the last Parthian king of kings.
On the chest of Ardashir, there is an inscription written in three different languages: Middle Persian, Parthian and Greek, which translates to: "This is the figure of Mazda worshiper, Lord Ardashir King of Kings of Ērān(Aryans), who has lineage from the gods, son of Lord Papak."

The lifeless figure of Artabanus on the left side of the picture under the horse of Ardashir I and the defeated figure of Ahriman under the hoof of Ahura Mazda on the right side of the picture.
