On the eve of the fourteenth week of "No to Execution Tuesdays," the news of the death sentence issued for the protesting artist and political prisoner, Tumaj Salehi, was announced.
Political prisoners such as #Shahriar_Bayat and #Shahab_Nadeali in Evin Prison, who have recently been sentenced to death, or #Habib_Deris, #Reza_Rasaei, and Adel_Khoshkar, whose sentences have been finally confirmed, and hundreds of other compatriots whose executions have been finalized.
We must confront the principle of the death sentence as an "irreversible" sentence and, on this path, not forget thousands of prisoners of public crimes, such as drug offenders, who are mostly victims of unfair structures, poverty, and deep class divides.
The execution rope must be overturned so that there is nothing to hang "people" on and execute them.
