I remember one winter evening, sitting with old friends around a wooden table. The air was cold outside, but the room was warm, filled with the aroma of oolong tea. As we poured cup after cup, the stories started to spill out—some funny, some bittersweet. We laughed over memories of childhood and shared moments reflecting on how much we’d grown. It felt like the tea itself was a part of the conversation, its warmth weaving through every word and every pause.

Tea isn’t just a drink; it’s an invitation. In winter, when everything outside feels cold and still, tea brings us together. It opens up conversations that might otherwise stay hidden and creates memories we carry long after the cup is empty.

Tea is an antidote to the drawbacks of the digital lifestyle that defines our age. We want to begin this new year by offering a series of offline workshops/events to give you a chance to connect with yourself, others and the physical world around you. This year, we wish to experiment with different formats and ways of doing things. For that, we'd love to hear from you!

Hey tea lovers! Oriental Beauty tea is one of Taiwan’s most famous oolongs, and it has some fascinating names, each with its own little story. Let me share a few—I think you’ll love this!

Oriental Beauty (Dongfang Meiren / 東方美人)
Legend says Queen Victoria named it after being charmed by its unique flavor and the elegant white-tipped leaves. Fancy, right?

Braggart’s Tea (Pengfeng Cha / 膨風茶)
A farmer’s tea, nibbled by tiny bugs, turned out delicious! When he shared his success, his neighbors teased him for bragging, giving it this playful nickname.

White Tip Oolong (Bai Hao Oolong / 白毫烏龍)
The bugs’ bites give the leaves their shimmering white tips, creating this name.

It’s also called “Champagne Oolong” for its honey notes and “Five-Colored Tea” for its rainbow-like leaves.

Each name tells a story of this tea’s journey from Taiwanese farms to teacups worldwide.
