⚠️ Netflix fall trend: for those who are not afraid of risk⠀
📉 The active crisis and the threat of a recession made 2022 an unfavourable year for technology companies: the US Nasdaq Composite index fell by 22%. However,
Netflix has a good chance of making up for the loss.
⠀
Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) stocks have lost 50% this year alone, and the overall decline from October 2021 high is over 70%. The increase in Fed interest rates is only one of the problems due to which investors are losing interest in the high-tech market. For example, all video streaming services during the pandemic showed strong growth in subscriptions to their services, but now consumers are actively returning to normal social activities. This is the first time
Netflix has experienced such a drop in the number of subscribers.
⠀
The company is also facing increasing competition from, for example, Disney and Apple, who are simply copying
Netflix's marketing models but selling them for less.
⠀
However, the loss of about 1.2 million paid subscribers is only a small fraction of 220 million customers: the company manages to maintain interest in its services. And the idea of replacing attempts to “share” access passwords with legitimate discounts for friends and family members should further increase the number of users. In addition,
Netflix actively implements monetization schemes for its popular shows through games and applications.
⠀
The current share price is lower than in 2019, but
Netflix's overall profits have since grown 165%, not bad for an intellectual property company. At the same time, the average return on invested capital (a key indicator of profitability) for the last four quarters was 15.3% (compared to 9% in 2019).
⠀
Since the price is now in the EMA(50) and EMA(100) possible reversal zone on D1, we suggest opening a long position with the first target in the $255-275 zone and the global one in the $325-350 zone. We put a cautious StopLoss at $145-150 and watch a new market series from
Netflix.
⠀
Profits to y’all!
