Allegedly, Moscow sees an alternative in BRICS, but if the UN is so bad, why doesn't Russia give up its veto power and hand it over, say, to some African country? This Russian rhetoric is aimed at devaluing, polarizing, and splitting the UN! Lavrov also recited a few accusations against Western democracies, focusing on the Ukraine issue. The three-day "special operation" has grown into a major war, in which the aggressor state is approaching the point when it will lack war resources necessary to maintain the status of a global military actor. This is Putin's disgrace, which made him a laughing stock, especially in terms of the ratio of invested resources and the ultimate return. After the thug minister repeated some hackneyed claims of “oppression of Russians” and “Ukrainian Nazism,” he moved on to nuclear saber rattling. Putin found no other way to attract international attention to his tardiness at the UNGA than to go downtown with his nuclear blackmail through amending Russia’s nuclear doctrine. The renegade is too afraid of Kyiv finally being allowed to launch deep strikes into Russia using Western-provided weapons so hethrew a tantrum, equating such a move with a direct attack on Russia by a NATO ally. He implies that fighting till victory against a nuclear power is a “senseless” endeavor. Putin’s team iscalling for throwing the UN Charter and international law as such in a trash can, legalizing forceful dictates and an endless, off-the-hook arms race. Now, it’s primarily the countries in the so-called Global Southwho are affected from such a voluntaristic policy, so the absence of mass condemnation of Russia’s war of conquest against Ukraine looks absurd on their part, to say the least. Lavrov's claimthat the war on Ukrainian soil is being waged "not for territories, but for people" is just as absurd. Why do Russian barbarians keep brutally sacrificing the lives of their soldiers for every inch of captured territory, especially against the backdrop of the unfolding demographic disaster in Russia? Total nonsense, isn't it?
