SSGEOS Earthquakes

The M 6.0 earthquake in Taiwan today is the second tremor in the M 6 range in a week. Both occurred near the atmospheric anomaly line from 1 January.

The M 6.8 earthquake at Kyushu, Japan was preceded by an atmospheric anomaly to the west on 1 January.

The M 7.0 earthquake off the coast of Northern California on 5 December was the first M 7 since August. That's well over 100 days, whereas average (theoretical) occurrence is 20-24 days. An atmospheric anomaly marked the region 15 days earlier, on 20 November.

Strongest (M ≥ 5.5) earthquakes in the last 24 hours occurred near these 20 October fluctuations.

The M 6.0 earthquake in Eastern Türkiye on 16 October was preceded by atmospheric fluctuations on 4 and 14 October.

Fluctuation occurred on 3 October (within the 9 days limit).

Two moderate tremors (M 4.9 and M 4.5) occurred in Ethiopia at the fluctuation mark in Eastern Africa. This is the second seismic response along this line. A strong earthquake occurred yesterday east of Madagascar. Apart from a M 4.0 near Crete, thus far nothing much happened in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
