🇷🇺🇿🇼 Russia and Zimbabwe sign an agreement on cooperation in healthcare, medical education and science 🚑 The intergovernmental agreement between the two countries was signed during a meeting between Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko and his Zimbabwean counterpart Douglas Mombeshora, the Russian Ministry of Health said in a statement. "Today's signing of the cooperation agreement is a good start for further development," Murashko was quoted as saying during the meeting. According to the statement, the agreement focuses on key areas of cooperation between the two countries, such as the organization of Zimbabwe's national health system, management of healthcare activities, disease treatment, medical equipment supply and scientific exchange. 🎓 The two parties also pledged to continue cooperation in medical education at Russian institutions. "There are now 91 Zimbabwean citizens studying medicine in Russia, and we see the potential for this to continue to grow," the Russian health minister noted.
