Annual Conference SIP - GIP 2024.pdf
🎤 Annual Conference GIP 2024 “Topoi, Places, and Spaces in an Intercultural Perspective” 9–11 May 2024 University of Tübingen 🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹 Human in Quest of Home: From “Dao” to Today`s “Homelessness” Ali Asghar Mosleh Excerpts from the lecture: -       The concept of Home in a broad context, encompassing its associated meanings such as Dao, Nirvana, Brahman, Truth, Ground, Arche, Kingdom(Malakut), Utopia, Being… -      Dao is not a mere space; rather, space emanates from it…“Home“ as a manifestation of "place" is one of the Dao signs. -       “Basho“ embodies both space and that which occupies it, encompassing both the space and its contents. Basho finds kinship with Nothingness… as an inclusive Nothingness enveloping both Being and Non-Being. -       It could be argued that the metaphor of Home holds a deep-rooted significance in Abrahamic religions' understanding of truth. -       According to Ibn ʻArabī’s View: Human is portrayed as the "comprehensive universe" (Kuwn al- Ǧām‘); a realm where Truth observes its essence and attributes. God sought a space wherein He could witness His self, akin to a mirror (Merāt). -       Modern humans seek an assured "home/place" imbued with clear and certain knowledge, fostered by a growing belief in the imperative of establishing a secure and stable home. -       Modern humans as conquerors empowered to reshape the world for their comfort and consumption. -       Daoism's notion of wandering bears a connection to freedom and liberation, as exemplified in Chuang Tzu's "you" (遊)…  -       What was Dao for Lao Tzu, representing a source of emancipation dependent on its correlation, emerges in Nietzsche's philosophy as Chaos… -       Through Heidegger's lens and in the context of the profound religious traditions of the Far East, one might posit that in Daoism, human existence embodies the "Da" of "Dao." according to Ibn ʻArabī, "Da" of Hagh/Truth…  -       The challenges and crises of today are unique to our time, necessitating a humbler approach and a willingness to engage in hybrid methods of perception and understanding. Perhaps, we stand at the threshold of new modes of perception. -       The traditions that speak of an indefinable nothingness and the pursuit of an undetermined, non-conceptualized home and origin can serve as wellsprings of inspiration today. -       we might reframe nihilism and homelessness as a situation akin to the climax of a Dionysian dance—a dance towards nothingness and emptiness yet unexplored. @jostarha_yadashtha
