The line graph shows the value of clothing which was exported from Bangladesh from 1988 to 2012 and the accompanying pie chart compares the importing countries. Overall, export value of clothing increased noticeably, especially towards the end of the period. It is also clear that while the main importer was the European Union, followed by the US, the remaining countries showed much smaller shares. Focusing on the line graph first, the value of clothing exported from Bangladesh started at around $2 billion and this was followed by a steady rise to little over $5 billion in 2004. After this, the figure quadrupled by the end of the period, reaching its peak of $20 billion. When it comes to the destination of exported clothing in 2012, the European Union imported a staggering 60% of clothing from Bangladesh spending over $11 billion. Next came/next on the list was the USA, with 24% clothing exported($4.53 billion).
