Dawn a New Age 🧬

Because I'm a lover of art, I've decided to share this wonderful project of recreating original settings of painted artwork by placing it in a modern, photographical scenery that captures the original mood of the painting. The first one was so captivating to me, that it made laugh. That's how good the facial expression was mimicked. There are a total of 53 recreated scenes to view. As you can see, number 39 was my favorite. The book she's holding, made me think of my Dutch State Bible from 1902 🥰
The beauty of art is that it has the ability to give you a very personal experience, even though the artist who made the specific piece had a very different story to tell with what he or she made.
Little fun fact about the Indian painter who made the original piece: he loved to paint his works in a European academic style, influenced by French painters such as William-Adolphe Bouguereau and Gustave Boulanger. Enjoy!

We can't serve God and the world at the same time, because we then serve two masters. This is mentioned in Matthew 6:24:
"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."

With mammon is meant material wealth, and greed. This type of wealth spoken of, is the wealth that comes from Satan, through greed and the love of money, fame or fortune. Guard your hearts from it. And guard your minds from it as well. Put on the full armor of God and...
Stay focused on God and let not the world distract you into anything that keeps you away from God.

Abuna Yemata Guh is a monolithic Church located in Hawzien, Ethiopia. It is situated at a hight of 2,580 meters and has to be climbed on foot to reach. The 6th century Church is dedicated to Abuna Yemata, one of the Nine saints who were important in the initial growth of Christianity in Ethiopia.
