I wonder what is the best way to work with angles for a computer. Probably storing the angle as τ/θ is a good idea? I mean, the natural way of thinking about angles is what part of a turn this angle makes. τ coefficient is important for maths, but on a computer it introduces precision loss (due to being irrational) with little gain. On the other hand, I'm not sure about how angle functions are implemented usually; if they use McLaurin series, it might be more natural to have the angle as is.
