This morning, @NOAA's #GOESEast 🛰️ is watching a very active Atlantic. To the north, Hurricane #Franklin is still swirling and will likely absorb Tropical Cyclone #Jose by this weekend. To the south, #Gert has regenerated into a Tropical Depression, while Post-Tropical Cyclone #Idalia is expected to affect Bermuda this weekend.

RT @JPSSProgram: In an image from the #NOAA20 satellite on Aug. 29, 2023, #Idalia was a Category 3 hurricane seen by Florida's Gulf coast & #Franklin was a Category 4 seen beside the U.S. east coast.

As of Aug. 30, Idalia has reduced to a Category 1, while Franklin reduced to a Category 3 storm.
