The mission will help us understand the role that clouds and aerosols play in both reflecting incident solar radiation back out to space and trapping infrared radiation emitted from Earth’s surface.

On 10-11 October 2023 in Bucharest, a User Consultation Meeting will see the science community come together to discuss the merits of the candidates and recommend one to be put forward.

There are 4⃣ candidates competing to become @esa’s #EarthExplorer 11 mission: CAIRT, Nitrosat, Seastar, and WIVERN.

This October, a User Consultation Meeting is planned to support the selection of up to two out of these missions to enter Phase A.
