@AmbHerzog
Earlier this week, I was honored to attend a screening hosted by @RepDWStweets on Capitol Hill of Sheryl Sandberg’s documentary “Screams Before Silence.” This film includes chilling footage of the horrific abuse of women committed by Hamas terrorists on October 7th and since. I am grateful to @sherylsandberg for her incredibly important work.
We should all give voice to those who were silenced.
Today, we mark Israel's 76th Independence Day.
This year is different as we are in the midst of a war to defend ourselves against vicious enemies who vow to destroy us.
We are a strong nation and we will rise above the pain. We remain united in hope, we will overcome and we will reach a brighter future.
Today we mark Israel's national memorial day, Yom HaZikaron, and bow our heads to the fallen who have given their lives to safeguard our nation and our ability to live freely in our ancestral homeland.
Since October 7th, 1533 names have been added to the list of the fallen, most of them civilians, who were slaughtered by Hamas. While we remember them, we also reaffirm our vow to bring back home the 132 hostages still being held in captivity.
We are fighting for our home, and we will never give up.
Let us draw strength and resilience from our history and values, from each other and from our true friends.
Thank you, Chairman Cole, for being a true friend of Israel.
On this somber Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom Hashoah), it is terrible to witness how quickly so many people are turning their backs on the Jewish people.
Seven months after the biggest slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust, the fact that in this country and around the globe there are growing numbers of those who deny and delegitimize Jewish suffering, Jewish Identity, the Jewish story and Jewish nationhood is a testament to the sad reality that the lessons of the Holocaust have not been learned.
The words “never again” have become empty in many circles around the world. For us, the Jewish State, “never again” is a sacred obligation.
Concluding an important visit with @SecBlinken in Israel.
The Secretary was briefed about the surge of humanitarian aid going into Gaza. We also discussed Rafah, Iran, Saudi Arabia and other regional affairs.
Together, we witnessed the horrors of the October 7th massacre in Kibbutz Nir Oz.
We will continue to work together towards our common goals with a focus on bringing our hostages home.
I wish to thank the U.S. Senate for passing the Israel aid package with overwhelming bipartisan support. This package is timely and critical to Israel's security in the face of strategic threats and sends a strong message to our enemies that we stand together.
Thank you, America, for investing in our alliance.
The State of Israel has come under an unprecedented regional attack, including hundreds of missiles and UAVs, launched by Iran from its territory and assisted by its proxies.

Iran has been the most destabilizing force in the Middle East for decades and is responsible for the violent escalation the region has seen, beginning on October 7th and ever since. It should - and must - be held accountable.

Israel is deeply grateful to the United States for its steadfast support and ironclad commitment to its security at this critical moment.

Israel will do whatever it takes to defend itself.
‏Wishing a happy Eid Al-Fitr to all Muslims, in Israel, the U.S., and around the world.

‏عيد فطر سعيد، أعاده الله عليكم وعلى الجميع
‏ بالخير والبركات.
‏Eid Mubarak.
