1️⃣1️⃣ Vienna Educational Mission | Day Four ⚛ The final day of our Vienna Educational Mission was marked by high-level meetings that introduced participants to new aspects of the work of international organizations in nuclear nonproliferation and the peaceful use of nuclear energy. 📍Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) Dr. Robert Floyd, Executive Secretary of the CTBTO, addressed the delegation of young researchers, discussing the importance of the CTBT, its history and objectives. Then the participants got acquainted with the operation of the International Data Centre and the International Monitoring System. 📍International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) The final event of the program was a meeting with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, who presented the main areas of the Agency’s activities and answered participants' questions. The Educational Mission concluded with an official reception for the delegation of students at the Russian Permanent Mission to International Organizations in Vienna. The program underlined the importance of international cooperation in nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear energy and helped participants better understand the role of international organizations and research centers in ensuring global security. #vienna 1️⃣1️⃣1️⃣
