🇧🇿❗️ #ConsultancyOpportunity WWF Mesoamerica is looking for a consultant to implement a Free Prior Informed Consent/Informed Consultation Participation process for the ReefGuard project
💡 What are we looking for?
✅ At least one experience in carrying out a Free Prior Informed Consent (FPIC) process (in Belize)
✅ Proven capabilities for designing, facilitating and documenting FPIC processes
✅ Proven experience with coastal and fishing communities and/or with projects in the field of marine and coastal conservation and natural resource use
✅ Proven experience establishing trust-based relationships with indigenous and local communities
✅ At least ten years of relevant experience with Stakeholder Engagement and other Safeguards tools and requirements, such as, evaluating risks for indigenous peoples, socio-economic analyses, environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA), and management frameworks
✅ Experience with Blue Action Fund and/or WWF Safeguard Standards a plus
✅ Fluent in English and ideally in the languages spoken in the communities (e.g. Creole, Garifuna)
