Maham Kukga – Biomedical Engineering Being a student at Imperial was the best three years of my life. I’m originally from Pakistan, so moving to London was a big change for me and I’ve learnt a lot about myself in the process. Some of my favourite memories are of my time with the boat club, which was a very challenging but positive experience. #ourimperial#graduation#imperial#imperialcollege
Nick Dunn - Zoology My time at Imperial has been really exciting. I became very involved in student societies – in particular the squash society. After three years, I’m quite glad to be leaving the city behind. I’m not leaving Imperial though – I’m going to do a Masters at the College’s Silwood Park campus. It will be a lot quieter and more sedate there. #ourimperial#graduation#imperial#imperialcollege
Suzie Lednarova - Geology RSM has such a great community. I’ve made close friends from all over the world, which means whenever I go travelling now I always have a place to stay! #ourimperial#graduation#imperial#imperialcollege
Gabriella Laine – Biochemistry My time at Imperial has been intense, intellectually stimulating, and very rewarding. I feel like I’ve learnt a lot, and I’m ready to tackle the real world now. Graduation was a very emotional day, especially when the music started playing in the Royal Albert Hall. #ourimperial#graduation#imperial#imperialcollege
Wai Shen Ng - Zoology I’m from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, so I already lived in a big city. London wasn’t much different really. I’ve been able to try out lots of different things at Imperial. I got involved with archery for the first time in my life, and I’m still doing it four years later. I’m now going to do a Master’s at the Natural History Museum. ourimperial #graduation#imperial#imperialcollege
Thomas Thomas - Biology When I came to Imperial I’d moved from the countryside in Norfolk , so London was quite a change. It was a lot more of a hectic lifestyle than I was used to! Now I love living in the city. I’m moving back to Norfolk for a short while but I hope to return to London soon. My goal is to pursue a career in statistical science. #ourimperial#graduation#imperial#imperialcollege
#Repost@icunion ・・・ Happy Birthday Imperial! 🎂🎈 109 years ago on this very day, Imperial College London was established by Royal Charter by King Edward VII on 8 July 1907. Two years later (in 1909), this stone was laid outside the RSM main entrance, to commemorate the new expansion of the College. The Inscription reads: "This stone was laid by His Majesty Edward VII King of Great Britian and Ireland and of the British dominions beyond the seas as Emperor of India, on the 8th day of July 1909, for the new buildings of the Royal School of Mines, initiated by His Royal Highness the Prince Consort, and of the City and Guilds College of Engineering, which with the Royal College of Science, form integral parts of the Imperial College of Science and Technology." —————————————————— #history#royal#royals#KingEdwardVII#plaque#alwaysreadtheplaque#science#icu#imperial#technology#imperialcollegeunion#imperialcollege#imperialcollegelondon#southken#southkensington#london
