Today the G.O.R.K.I. Centre of St. Petersburg State University  hosted a roundtable titled "The State of Affairs: Analyzing Russia-Belarus Relations Today and Tomorrow" Speakers from Russia and Belarus intensely discussed among themselves and with the audience Russian-Belarusian relations. The debate was moderated by the head of the G.O.R.K.I. Centre of SPbU, Dr Karin Kneissl and Natalia Simchenko, head of the Department of Economic Theory and Economic Policy of SPbU. The participants touched upon a number of important topics in their reports, including the role of the Union State within the post-Soviet space, its special position in the Eurasian Economic Union and their possible future development The G.O.R.K.I.
