Interview with «Varyag», the head of the Academists in the Kherson region, who is now fighting for our Fatherland 📝 Why did you volunteer? “I signed the contract with the Russian Defense Ministry quite suddenly, but I have been thinking about it since 2022. In general, I was motivated by the desire for adventure, retribution for every oppressed Russian and a decent salary which could be spent on creating a family or projects.” 📝 Where have you been deployed and what is your specialty? “I serve in the Kursk direction as a drone operator. Previously, I was a motorized rifleman near Bakhmut." 📝 Do you think every Academist should serve on the frontline? “To each his own. Some people are more inclined to military service, some to civil service, some to state service, someone may be a successful businessman, some may be a teacher. We are all different, service on the frontline or back home must go side by side. This is the only way we will win." ❗️In conclusion, Varyag noted that war is certainly fraught with risk. And although there is a possibility of not returning from the battlefield alive or being injured, every warrior must be aware of this and act accordingly driven by duty and honor. 😎 We shall not stop!
