Nixon: The press is the enemy. The press is the enemy. The establishment is the enemy. The professors are the enemy. Professors are the enemy. Write that on the blackboard 100 times and never forget it.
Kissinger: I, on the professors—
Nixon: Always—
Kissinger: —I need no instruction at all.
Nixon: Always—
Kissinger: And on the press, I’m in complete agreement with you—
Nixon: It’s the enemy. So we use them, at times. But remember, with the exception, now and then, of a—I think Wilson, maybe—there are two or three—Howard Smith. Yes, there are still a few patriots, but most of them are—they’re very disappointed because we beat ’em in the election. They know they’re out of touch with the country. It kills those bastards. They are the enemy, and we’re just gonna continue to use them, and never let them think that we think they’re the enemy. You see my point? But the press is the enemy. The press is the enemy. That’s all.
The halakhic tradition teaches that "just as a court must be free of corruption, so too must it be free of any physical defects." This requirement, found in Sanhedrin Halacha 5, reflects the aspiration for judges to meet a high standard, both in their character and physical condition, in order to uphold the dignity of the court and maintain public trust in its rulings. In Halacha 7, it is stated that a judge must be "wise, humble, averse to money," among other qualities, but also that they must be in a physical and mental state that enables them to judge without interference. For example, it is derived from the phrase "men of valor" (Exodus 18:21) that judges should possess strength and capability, both physically and mentally; or from "well-known to your tribes" (Deuteronomy 1:13), which emphasizes the need for the judges to enjoy public approval, including recognition of their personal qualifications.
The combination of these requirements over generations has created a consistent ruling on the necessity of the judges’ health. A judge who is ill, potentially suffering from difficulties in concentration or impaired patience, may compromise the quality of their rulings and undermine justice. Thus, the health aspect is not merely a technical matter but an essential component in ensuring a fair and unimpeachable judicial process. This is particularly significant in family matters, where there is an acute need for a judge who is "strong" both in body and spirit to prioritize the well-being of the parties involved, especially minors.
When your country is run by lawyers, it is not run by the court, it becomes a cumbersome bureaucratic tool, exactly what the court is supposed to prevent.
For example, legal advisors in authorities deal with and are concerned with government or presidential and/or state authority. In practice, their connection to the issues is from balance sheets that do not contain the desired legal context. They have no connection to the issue, they are, after all, administering the law.
That is, they have no connection to the issue, their right to status is by virtue of their education, their certificate and nothing more.
Once the judge is a lawyer, and the authorities around him are made up of lawyers, there is no interest in judging, but rather in maintaining the balances that preserve the power of the lawyers.
As soon as a judge needs a lawyer's legal education, it means that the judge is a lawyer.
The term lawyer is a person who administers justice to the judge.
He is supposed to make his work easier, the judge's job is to be a simple person. Who judges according to the laws of God. One is with the work of Genesis.
