🇷🇺🥇🥈🥉Russian chess players swept the medal stand at the FIDE World Rapid Championships in New York!
🏆The 18-year-old Russian Volodar Murzin has emerged as the World Rapid Chess Champion. The young GM delivered an impressive performance, scoring 10 points out of 13 without suffering a single defeat.
Russian GMs Alexander Grischuk (2nd place) and Ian Nepomniachtchi (3rd place) both finished with 9.5 points.
In the women’s event, Russia’s Yekaterina Lagno secured bronze.
