LEGISLATION FIRE SAFETY I have legislation establishing safety standards for the manufacturing of lithium-ion batteries. Poorly manufactured lithium-ion batteries have emerged as a growing cause of fires in NYC and beyond. I am proud to report that the House Energy and Commerce Committee has passed my bill by a vote of 42-0! Legislating for the people of the Bronx.
