Cartoonist Ann #Telnae resigned from the #WashingtonPost after the newspaper rejected her cartoon showing Jeff #Bezos and other major businessmen kneeling for #Trump.
In her caricature, Telnae aimed to criticize the businessmen who tried to win Trump’s favor, since he’s the president-elect.
Telnaes said that this was the first time a caricature was rejected due to the individuals it criticizes.
David Shipley, Washington Post editorial page editor, said in a statement that the cartoon was rejected because of its similarity to columns at the paper, not because of who it targeted.
