A 1000 °C rare lava lake as seen from space🌋 Mount Michael is an active stratovolcano on the remote Saunders Island: it is almost 1000 m high and difficult to climb. In situ observations would be complicated to perform but thanks to satellites we can monitor the status of its rare lava lake safely.
