π± Target levels and forecast for the week 29.04. β 03.05.
β
On Wednesday, before the Fed meeting, important US reports will be released: ISM industry and JOLTs job openings, they will determine the dollar levels and the mood in which investors will listen to Powell. The Fed meeting will be standard, with no new forecasts, and all eyes will be focused on the press conference. If the rhetoric is hawkish, the stock market will crash. Powell has a choice: either to support the economy with neutral rhetoric with confidence in continued falling inflation and rate cuts this year or to declare low chances of rate cuts before the fall.
β
Both bulls and bears are likely to get confirmation of their thoughts from the Fed's press conference, and the medium-term trend will depend on the quality of NFP data on May 3 and CPI inflation on May 15.
β
In the Eurozone, the important data is the CPI inflation for April and GDP for Q1, which will be released on Tuesday.
