The Presidents focused on the escalating situation in the Syrian Arab Republic, highlighting the large-scale aggression by terrorist groups and militant units aimed at undermining the political and socioeconomic stability of the Syrian state. They expressed unconditional support for the efforts of Syria’s legitimate authorities to restore constitutional order and maintain the country’s territorial integrity, while also emphasising the importance of coordinated efforts within the framework of the Astana Format with the involvement of Türkiye. The Leaders also discussed key issues related to the expansion of Russia-Iran cooperation in various fields, particularly in light of the agreements reached by Vladimir Putin and Masoud Pezeshkian during their talks in Kazan on October 23, 2024.
