A Start-Up’s Journey: The choice between crowdfunding and angel investing 💰
1️⃣Crowdfunding Challenges: While crowdfunding offers early success, startups may face hurdles in securing subsequent venture capital. On average, crowdfunded startups are 38.9% less likely to receive follow-on venture capitalists (VC) investments.
2️⃣Corporate VCs Favour Crowdfunding: Corporate venture capitalists (CVCs) seem to prefer crowdfunded startups over angel-invested ones. Their focus on product viability makes crowdfunded ventures an attractive investment, offering a different interpretation than independent VCs.
