🔻. قـالَ رَسُـولُ اللّه ِ صلي الله عليه و آله: يَوْمُ غَديرِخُمٍّ اَفْضَلُ اَعْيادِاُمَّتِى وَهُوَالْيَوْمُ الَّذى اَمَرَنِىَ اللّه ُ تَعالى ذِكْرَهُ فيهِ بِنَصْبِ اَخى عَلىِّ بْنِ اَبِى طالِبٍ عَلَما لاُِمَّتِى، يَهْتَدُونَ بِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِى وَ هُوَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذى اَكْمَلَ اللّه ُ فيهِ الدّينَ وَأَتَمَّ عَلَى اُمَّتِى فيهِ النِّعْمَةَ وَرَضِىَ لَهُمُ الاِْسْلامَ دينا

🔻The Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said: The day of Ghadir Khumm is the greatest of celebrations for my nation, and it is the day that the Almighty God commanded. It is the day when my brother, Ali ibn Abi Talib, was appointed as the leader (and commander) of my nation, so that after me, people will be guided by him. It is the day when God completed the religion and perfected His blessings upon my nation, and He chose Islam as their religion

🔻روى زيادُ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قالَ: دَخَلتُ عَلى اَبِـى عَبْـدِاللّه ِ عليه السلام فَقُلْتُ: لِلْمُسْلِمينَ عيدٌ غَيْرَ يَوْمِ الْجُـمُـعَةِ وَالْفِـطْرِ وَالاْضْحى؟ قالَ: نَعَمْ، اَلْيَوْمُ الَّذى نَصَبَ فيهِ رَسُولُ اللّه ِ صلي الله عليه و آلهاَميرَالْمُؤْمِنينَ عليه السلام

🔻Ziyad ibn Muhammad says: I entered upon Imam Sadiq (PBUH) and asked: Do Muslims have any other celebration besides Eid al-Adha, Eid al-Fitr, and Friday? The Imam (PBUH) replied: Yes, the day when prophet Mohammad (PBUH) appointed Imam Ali (PBUH) as the leader and guardian (of the Muslims)

قـالَ رَسُـولُ اللّه ِ صلي الله عليه و آله: يا مَعْشَرَالْمُسْلِمينَ لِيُبَلِّغِ الشّاهِدُ الْغَائِبَ، اُوصى مَنْ آمَنَ بِى وَ صَدَّقَنِى بِوِلايَةِ عَلىٍّ، اَلا اِنَّ وِلايَةَ عَلِىٍّ وِلايَتى وَ وِلايَتى وِلايَةَ رَبِّى، عَهْدا عَهِدَهُ اِلىَّ رَبِّى وَ أمَرَنِى أنْ أبَلِّغُكُمُوهُ.
🔻The Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said (on the day of Ghadir): O Muslims! Convey this message to those who are absent: I command you to follow the guardianship of Ali, the one who has believed in me and affirmed my leadership. Be aware that the guardianship of Ali is my guardianship, and my guardianship is the guardianship of God. This covenant and agreement was made on behalf of my Lord, who commanded me to deliver it to you
