Father Time & Baby New Year Father Time is a folkloric deity and the personification of Time itself. He founds much of his origin in the deity Cronos and the Roman god Saturn who heavily synchronized with him in classical aristocratic Roman myth. Despite this Father Time is an entity within himself and often appears alongside other folkloric deities. Being depicted as a friend of the Grim Reaper and often using his scythe if he so chooses. He is also at times depicted with Santa Claus, implying a possible agreement regarding the Time Santa Claus uses to make his nighttime ride. The most notable however is the figure of Baby New Year (Identified by some as the Frankish god Lollus) who he often hands the dominion of the New Year over to when the year ends and he dies or retires. He is often depicted with a Scythe, Holly Wreathe, book, hourglass, and sometimes even wings. At the end of 2021 it is time for him to pass his Sash to Baby New Year and maybe go have drinks with Santa and Grim. Happy New Year.-TLK
