We start the week with a long-awaited intro to Gsmgarden🍃
How did you become an artist?I studied at the Faculty of Design at the Higher School of Economics with Proteus Temen. It was there that I formed my way of interacting with reality, with the world. I realized how to look at the world as a whole — how to let it pass through me to create something of my own.
After my studies, I spent a lot of time working as a CG artist and motion designer, and when I had already leveled up my skills enough, I started to pursue a solo career.
What inspires you?Probably the truest reference point is the organic macrocosm—all sorts of bacteria and fungi, their evolutionary process, and how they interact with the environment as a whole. These organisms have quite interesting ways of energy, nutrition, defrosting—it’s very interesting to study, to delve into.
What methods do you use?
Within the USLR, I work mainly in 3D; this allows me to model any physical changes in climate, soil, and humidity quite accurately.
