The Biden-Harris office campaigned heavily on open border policy such as the reuniting of migrant families, shutting down detention centers, increased acceptance of refugees and halting of Trump's border wall construction.

In an (unsurprising) turn of events, the administration has yet to achieve or even pursue any of these commitments. The last few months saw the construction of new detention centers following the largest surge of migration to the US in around 20 years.

Faced with the reality of running a country, even Harris has done a 180 on her rhetoric of “everyone is welcome here” - now demanding migrants “do not come,” adding “if you come to our border, you will be turned back.”

Once again blurring the true intentions of the Biden-Harris administration mired in incomprehensible rants or hypocritical flip flopping.
