One year ago, we founded Project Kaleidoscope with an openness attitude, aiming to provide users with a stable and smooth ROM that is closest to the stock firmware experience, while providing high-quality examples for other ROM's reference.
Since the project's inception, we have actively communicated and cooperated with major open-minded manufacturers such as OnePlus, DuoQin, OPPO, Huawei, etc.* We are working with them to provide a more convenient and efficient experience for users. In this way, we hope to promote the development of the community, so as to clean up the playing community environment and eliminate bad and outdated ROMs, frameworks, modules and other poor quality projects that are not conducive to the development of the Android community. In the future, this open attitude will continue to exist.
However, being open does not mean being all-inclusive. No one can do it completely with love. We don't welcome projects that are not capable and only copy features from upstream, or even bite back at them. Openness is supposed to be mutual, we're happy to welcome other capable ROM projects to improve each other, as well as maintainers to build for their own devices.
Otherwise, we have a good news: As part of our maintenance schedule, we want to expand the officially supported devices. If you are a maintainer with ideas and abilities, feel free to join us :)
Read the relevant documentation on device maintenance in
https://github.com/Project-Kaleidoscope/charter. Ensure that you meet all the requirements and then send an email request to
devrel[at]kscope.ink. Please include your GitHub username, the resources used to build (device/kernel/vendor tree, etc.), and screenshots of your device running KaleidoscopeOS in email.
We will review the email and provide a reply within three working days of receipt. If you do not receive any reply after three working days, your application email may not be successfully delivered to our mailbox due to network fluctuations or other reasons. Please try to resend the email to the alternate address
