Looks like some bots got kicked from a few groups and a some subscribers left this channel 🤷♂️. Other than that everything went smooth and all the bots are already back and might even be a bit faster now. The new server even has capacity for new bots (maybe).
It's been a while since I last posted here. Unfortunately it is time to upgrade the server once again. I don't have the option to move the bots to another server this time. This means all bots will be offline for approximately 2h. After that the bots will need to process the missed messages and will be slow or unresponsive for a while.
Please do not remove and re-add the bots. Please do not PM me about any issue with a bot that has a ⚠️ in its name.
The upgrade will start in about 1h (at 12:00 UTC) from now . See you on the other side🫡.
Finally got a new power supply delivered. Will install it later today and then move everything back when most groups are asleep. The bots will be down for approximate 20 minutes starting in probably 4-5 hours.
There was a fatal hardware failure (smells burned). I moved all bots to another machine. They are all running again but it will take a while for the bots to catch up.
@AntiServiceMessage_Bot has been updated to include the new types of service messages. For example if a voice chat is started or if someone is added to the voice chat.
@AntiServiceMessage_Bot automatically removed all service messages except pinning service messages. Removing pinning service messages would interfere with the optional notification that is attached to that message.
If you prefer to only have join/leave service messages removed, please use the old bot @AntiServiceMessageBot.
Some of you like statistics and graphs so I made one for @AntiServiceMessageBot. It shows the growth in daily deleted service messages over the past 10 months. From the lowest to the highest there was an 850% increase in less then 300 days. Lets see if @AntiServiceMessage_Bot can beat that😉.
In the coming days I will create clones for each bot that repeatedly hits the limits. I know this is not optimal but its the only way to keep providing valuable and reliable bots. There is also a new bot coming very soon.
I'm afraid that there is nothing we can do for that, you can keep handling them within the limits or just discard all of them calling getUpdates with a negative offset (remember that those updates will be removed completely)
After a "short" back and forth talking with Telegrams Bot "Support", that took months because their average response time is like 2 weeks, they finally told me that they wont do anything at all to solve the problem. First they told me that the devs adjusted the limits for my bot, which did absolutely nothing then they just said they can't do anything. The final "solution" they offered, is to just discard requests when limits are reached which would mean the bot simply does not work on the high traffic hours.
@AntiServiceMessageBot has reached Telegrams limit for delete requests. Support has been informed but I got no reply by now. I'll update here as soon as I know more. The bot will eventually catch up and clean all old service messages but it could takes hours with the current limiting in place.
A serious connection problem has been resolved. All bots should work normal again soon. Some bots still have a huge delay because they are processing old messages first. Please do not remove and re-add the bots it does not help at all.
Lets start with the good news first. The latest version of @AntiServiceMessageBot deleted over 100 000 000 service messages!
The bad news. @AntiServiceMessageBot currently has serious problems getting updates in time as well as sending out message delete requests. Sadly there is nothing I can do about this. It seems to be a problem on Telegram's side. But don't worry the bot will eventually catch up and it will clean up old service messages. As always you don't have to do anything to make it work again.
I got several request to create a bot that removes "Russian". Cyrillic is of course used by many other languages than Russian. Anyway I made @AntiCyrillicScriptBot which is completely BETA for now. You can report bugs to @TheWordAlive. Also if you want to create an image for that bot you can send it to me.
We do have the exact same problem with @AntiArabicScriptBot now :/ It seem to catch up but it may take hours to fully recover. As mentioned before please do not remove and re-add the bot.
