I’m well aware my art skills fall in the medium level and that my artstyle isn’t exactly a popular one. But 40$ feels unfair

I hope they don’t see this message and I doubt they ever will and this isn’t a serious rant but I asked this question from a group of artists once and I promised I wouldn’t be upset but I ended up getting upset because they said 35-50$

These would be +70$ but I’m not sure how much more

This would be in 70$ category for example

My illustrations take anywhere between 3 hrs to 8 hrs
Tho it’s a large and detailed piece like the one I’m working on rn it’s gonna be more
I want my pricing to be a mix of my set of skills + my goals (which is to commission other artists, help someone get smth they need, etc) + a bit less the hours spent

A pricing based on spent hours isn't more reasonable?
