#task 1
The bar chart illustrates how many visitors attended a particular museum with total numbers from 1997 to 2012.
In general, adults and special exhibition visitors attended a museum more, albeit at varying degrees over the years, as opposed to those aged under 15. More importantly, adults made up a significant part of visitors, while the reverse was true for children.
Adults started the year with 300,100 visitor numbers, a figure almost thrice as many as children under 15 (120,000) and a mere number of special exhibition visitors (28,000). While these figures remained almost stable over the next five years, adults and special exhibition visitors attendance grew, with the former peaking at 400,500 and the latter slightly increasing to 37,000, while that of children under 15 decreased to 87,000 in 2007. In 2012, both adults and children experienced a slight decline, in contrast to a growth in the number of special exhibition visitors, at 42,000.
